Reading with Pa Pa.

Carly and my dad have this special relationship. They LOVE each other and Carly would spend every waking minute with him if she could. I think she calls him on a average of 5 times a day. It has been a blessing living around the corner from them. Let's face it, they are really the only reason we still live in Placerville. It is amazing the relationship my kiddos have with them and I think they would be devastated if we moved. When JD is out of town (which is pretty much every week) we usually head on over to my folks house for sleepovers. Carly, loves to read with Pa Pa and can spend hours just talking and looking at the pages with him. Pa Pa loves you Carly.

History repeating itself.

I started gymnastics at a very young age and ended gymnastics in my teens. I lived for it, practiced everyday for hours and competed at a National level. It was not all happy memories though. It was not only physically hard but mentally hard as well. A coach came into my gymnastics life around the age of 11 and was not the nicest man. Things changed from having fun to a very strict and lots of tears type of coaching. I told myself at the age of 15 when I quit the sport that if I had a little girl one day I would never let her do gymnastics. Well, fast forward 15+ years and here we are with Carly doing gymnastics in that very same gym that I spent countless hours practicing and trying to perfect a sport that is not so perfect. I started Carly as a fun thing we could do together in a mommy and me class. Within a few weeks Miss Carly was hanging, jumping, seat dropping, beam walking and showing ability above her little 2 year old body. Her coach who just so happens to be the team coach asked if she could move on up to the 3/4 year old class. A class in which I sit on the sidelines and watch. With a little hesitation I agreed and now I sit and watch my fearless 2 year old out in that big gym with the older kids, keeping right up and loving every minute of her gymnastics time. Call me crazy but I enjoy watching her out there and lets be honest, Carly in a leo is just about the cutest thing EVER. So, if it is history repeating itself and Carly continues to love and move forward with this very tough sport, I pray only great, fun and loving coaches come her way.

Carly Girl.

My favorite little man.

I have never been a fan of pictures of myself and as I look back on this blog that is meant as a journal for the kiddos to have and look back on, there are really no pictures of me or JD. I recently came upon a article about how important it is for us as parents to take pictures of ourselves so our kids can have pictures and memories of us and what we looked like through out their lives. So, I will be overlooking my insecure crazy mind and will try and post photos of not only me but JD as well for Cole and Carly to have.

Pa Pa, Grandma and Cousins.

I just LOVE these two pictures. It is all the cousins on the top with my mom and dad and just the girl cousins with my dad. Kaitlyn is the oldest and just turned 6 and Riley is the youngest at 8 months. My parents could not wait to be Grandparents and I thing it is funny that we all had kiddos just about the same time. Austin, Regan and Carly are all 3 months apart. It is almost like having triplets when we are all together. Organized chaos is what I like to call it :-)! I hope and pray that all these little blessings will stay close through the years.

Cole and Maggie.

I feel like I should post these pictures because we will need all the once we have of these two for their wedding slide show one day :-)! Cole and Maggie are in the same Kindergarten class and they could not be happier. I have heard that they hug a lot and chase each other around on the playground. Since they have met through playgroup they have always gravitated towards each other.  They look like brother and sister to me in these photos.
