Girly Girl!

It is amazing to me how Cole and Carly are wired so differently. Carly LOVES to put makeup on with me and attempts to do her own hair. Now, I will admit Mr. Cole is into fashion and making sure his hair is always perfect before we go out but he was never interested in putting make up on. Miss Carly will sit there and slowly and carefully try to apply her make up. Then she smacks her lips together and states "Petty Carly" over and over! Too cute in my mommy book.

Sassy little thing!

Check out this sassy little thing!

A special moment secretly captured!

The other night JD was putting Cole to bed and I was putting Carly down. After Carly was down, I walked past Cole's room and still heard chatting from his room. My intentions were to go in and tell my boys that it was time for lights out but when I peaked in, this is what I saw. A moment that warmed my heart. I grabbed my phone and took a quick picture without  them even noticing. I then slowly tip toed out and closed the door very quietly. I had no intention at that point of telling them it was lights out. For all I cared after seeing that special moment, they could of stayed up all night reading and chatting with each other.

Night at Grandma and Pa Pa's!

Watching TV with Grandma by the fire!
 Santa Cole
 I love this picture!

 Decorating their tree!

 Love!

 Grandpa time!

Myself and the kiddos stayed at my folks last week while JD was out of town. My parents have SO much Christmas stuff that it is like a winter wonderland. The kids have to much fun checking everything out and it really gets us in the spirit. They got to decorate their small tree and they also decorated the porch with Grandma. There really is no place like home and I always feel so relaxed and content in the house I grew up in. Still, so surreal to have kids that run up and down the same hall that I did as a kid and playing with same decorations that I did. Life is good!

Cole's backstroke at 4!

Proud mommy moment. Cole you are only 4 years old in this video. Your backstroke has gotten amazing. Your love for the water is so cool and your ability to swim is fascinating at your young age. I have watched this video about 100 times and it never gets old. GO COLE!

4 going on 16!

OMG, this picture is like a glimpse into the future. Does he not look like a teenager or what? Time sure does go by fast!

Princess

Our neighbor's got Carly her first Princess dress up dress. I thought she would not be that interested in it but boy was I wrong. It's like she just knows that once that dress goes over her heard she has to spin, walk on her tipi toes and state "Princess Carly" over and over. So far she has not asked to wear it out of the house (thank god) but I have a feeling the day is coming.

Carly swinging!

Here is a little clip of Carly at gymnastics! Super strong stomach muscles!

 Yum!
 Present time!

We had your birthday at All Star Gymnastics. You love it there and I thought it would be a perfect place for your party. Plus, it was a cold, windy and rainy day so it worked out perfect! We got to play out on the floor for 45 minutes and then we went into the party room for pizza, followed by cake and ice cream and of then presents. You had the best time just hanging with your friends and family. After you would open a present you would walk around and show everyone what you got and would hand out a big hug to the gift giver. Carly, you are extremely smart for your age and it was amazing to watch you have conversations with every one. Your vocabulary is insane. You looked beyond beautiful in your tu tu and leotard (it took mommy a long time to find the perfect outfit)! You are a blessing to mommy and daddy and we love you more than you will know. I can't believe you are two and I am loving every minute of being your mommy. I have said it before but SLOW DOWN you are getting so big too fast! I love you baby girl!

Breakfast with mommy.

Carly turned 2 and it was a wonderful day. Daddy stayed home that morning as he had to fly out of town to Denver that afternoon. You woke up to her birthday door and presents downstairs. We played for a bit and then we headed to our favorite breakfast place... Bagel Works. It was a windy and rainy day, so we went home and played with your new toys. Daddy had to leave, so we went and met Uncle Rich and Rey Rey for some Subway! We went and had a sleepover at Pa Pa and Grandma's because daddy was gone. We had cake and ice cream and Uncle Rich, Auntie Emi and Rey Rey came over. It was a wonderful day filled with fun and I can not believe you are 2! I am so proud of you and you make me smile everyday!

Pismo Beach November 21 - 26

Back to Pismo beach we went and this time we went Thanksgiving week. This was the 1st time I have ever not been at my parents for Turkey Day. We did celebrate Thanksgiving the Sunday before we left for Pismo. This was hands down the best trip we have had to the beach. The kids are at perfect ages now and Carly did wonderful. Her favorite thing was running freely on the beach and into the cold ocean waves. JD of course was right by her side as she has no fear and would head straight into the waves full speed! Cole of course enjoys it all and we spent our days, eating, relaxing, swimming, going to the beach, drinking adult beverages, relaxing some more and eating some more. Cole loves to ride his scooter around the path at the hotel and you can just see how at peace he is when he is there. Jd and I have always said Cole will attend college down there and we will retire there. We did venture into San Louis Obispo to see Santa and to have lunch at our favorite pizza place, Woodstocks. Cole was so excited to see Santa and couldn't wait to tell him what was on his list. Carly clung to me and wanted NOTHING to do with Old Saint Nick. It was a trip to remember and we will be back in Pismo in 4 months and in our house, the count down has already began!
