Snow Storm & Car Wreck!

So, a few weeks back we had a MAJOR snow storm. Cole was at school when it started to snow and I should of picked him up when it first started but I decided to wait since my brand new car is 4W drive. Well, all went well and I made it to Cole's school with no problem. The issue came when I was asked to pick up my neighbors daughter. The main road was closed, so I had to go down one of the big hills here in Placerville. As we started down the hill I knew it was a horrible idea. At that moment, my tires locked up and we slid all the way down the hill and smacked right into another car. I was so scared and devastated that I just banged up my new car :-(! The kids were scared as well but we were all safe and not hurt. We have not gotten the car fixed and everyday it makes me sad to walk by those scratches. Next time, I think I will stay home and not drive in the snow. Not my best moment..... ugg!

Peeking!

I know I have blogged before about a place we go called the Jack Russell Brewery (JRB)! It is a beautiful brewery set on a amazing piece of property in Camino, about 10 minutes up the hill from our house! It has picnic tables set out on the lawn and the kids get to play, run around and just enjoy how beautiful a place it is that we live. As the kids run around and play us adults get to sit and drink a few brews and enjoy some adult interaction with friends and family. The other afternoon we were up there enjoying ourselves when for a split second, I noticed the kids has gotten awfully quiet and as I looked around this is where I found them. Peaking into the bar area of the JRB. You see, children are not allowed in the actual bar area and I think the kids had finally had enough of not being about to see what was in that room that dad goes into to get our drinks. Curiosity got the best of them. I love how they went to together and I wish I could of heard their conversation.

Cole Face!

Carly Face!

JD's Valentines!

JD was away on business for Valentines day and I really wanted to do something nice for him. He is so busy and does so much for us, that I wanted something waiting for him in his hotel room after his long day of work. I called the Hilton that he was staying at and to my surprise they had a package called "Mans best friend" that came with 6 beers, jerky and chex mix. I swear it was made for JD! He loved it and I loved that I could do something for him from so far away! Major props go out the Hilton!

Just now getting to Valentines Post!

 Kiddos baskets!
I think it was 8:00 in the morning and Carly had already eaten about 10 kisses :-)!
Mason, Jill and Cole at school!
 Cole and Finn being silly!
Cole made this heart for me at school and I love it! In fact it is still up on the window and we are in the middle of March.

Just pictures on a beautiful day!

Love a beautiful warm winter day spent outside just playing!

Silly babies!

So... this is what it looks like now when I try and get a picture of these two beautiful faces! They are such hams and it takes a while now to get a good shot. Silly babies....

Sacramento's Children's Museum!

 Cole and Ronin!
Painting on the wall. A perfect activity for Carly!
Carly and Lily playing in the water!
Warming up under the hand warmer!
Dress up!

Took the kids to the Sacramento Children's Museum with my friend Molly and her kiddos, Ronin and Lily. Super neat place and basically the kids can run from activity to activity and just be kids! They get to paint on the walls, do crafts, dress up, play store, play house and a bunch of other hands on activity. I wish so much that Placerville would step it up and have some fun things for kids to do in town. Until then, I will continue to drive down the hill for the kids to enjoy places like this.

Library on a cold day!

I decided to take the kids to the library on a freezing afternoon. Well, we did make it into the library for about 10 minutes and then the kids wanted to play outside in the freezing cold...of course! They had a blast climbing the trees and running around the grounds of the library! I was frozen to the bone but the kids loved every minute (60 long minutes) of it!
