More Swimming!

So, I have been looking for a fall/winter swim program for Cole. I decided I would take him to a local Sports Club and pay for him to do swim lessons twice a week through out the Fall/Winter. As soon as Cole started to swim for the instructor she turned to me and asked how old he was? I said 4 and with a look of amazement on her face she said she had a better program for him. It is program for 6 to 14 year olds, two days a week from 4:00 - 5:00. The instructor told me she had NEVER let anyone under 6 into the program but because of the talent that Cole is, she would make the exception. She proceeded t tell me that she had NEVER seen a child as young as Cole with such talent and strength in the water, how he was going to be an amazing swimmer and how he was already built for the sport. I of course, jumped at the opportunity and agreed with tears in my eyes to let him join their fall/winter program. So far Cole is loving it and he keeps up with those big kids and works his little butt of at every practice. He is the talk of the pool with all the other parents and they can not believe he is 4 and that good of a swimmer. I was telling JD the other night, that his swimming is something special. I just don't want to burn him out at such a young age. My goal is to continue to make sure he is having fun with it and make sure I listen to what he wants. Secretly, I pray he loves it forever! Who know, he just might be the next Michael Phelps!!!!!!

Tahoe September 14 - 16!

 Up the Gondola!
The kids loved the ride all the way up the mountain!
 Most beautiful view!
 Halfway Up.
 At the lodge!
Cole loved the ride. So, did mommy!
Look at that cute face. Getting so big.
Back at the house. Hot tub fun.
Boche ball. Cole actually played a whole game with us and was so good. He scored two points!
 Carly and Lily.

We went to Tahoe a few weekends ago with our good friends Molly, Nima, Ronin and Lily. We decided to rent a house this time and it was amazing. We were able to walk to the water and the house was set up perfectly for two families. The kids played amazingly together and the adults had probably too much fun! Saturday we took the Gondola up the mountain and what a spectacular day it was! The weather was perfect, the kids were perfect and the lodge at the top was amazing. We sat and had lunch, drank some beers and took the boys on the tube ride. After we were done, we rode back down the mountain, which was just as fun going down, then back to the house to relax, drink, eat and enjoy the rest of the day. Boche ball was great. Cole of course was a stud at it. The kids played in the hot tub and by the end of the day and night, ALL of us, including the adults were tucked into the cozy beds and asleep by 9:00 (the night before was a different story)! JD took the cake and was out with Carly at 8:30! It was just the weekend we all needed!

"Nunny" NEEDED a bath!

This could be the sweetest pictures ever!
Oh "Nunny", you have been through so much. In fact this is our second "Nunny" as our first one was lost during the summer at swim team practice. "Nunny" has lost the bell and the stuffing has been pulled out piece by piece. "Nunny" has a open wound on his tummy, that I will try and fix. LIfe would not be the same for Carly (or us) if we lost "Nunny" as "Nunny" is her, best friend, comfort and the most important thing to her at this point. I actually have a back up brand new "Nunny" number 3 in the pantry, just waiting to be pulled from the box in case (heaven forbid) we lose "Nunny" #2!

I decided to wash "Nunny" the other day as he was in dire need of a bath. About 5 minutes into the bath, Carly started asking for "Nunny"! I explained to her that "Nunny" was taking a bath but of course what 21 month old would understand that. So, I took her down to the laundry room and showed her that "Nunny" was getting clean. No joke, Carly sat there and watched "Nunny" washing and then watched as it took 15 minutes to dry "Nunny", all the while saying over and over "Ohhhh, Nunny". When "Nunny" was all done, I have never seen Carly get so excited and happy to have her "Nunny" back in her arms. She hugged and kissed him for a good 5 minutes. All was perfect in Carly's world again and within 10 minutes poor "Nunny" was dirty again.

Circus Time - September 7, 2012

Mommy and Daddy to you guys to the Circus. Cole this was your second time and Carly your first. I am not sure if you remembered the first time you went Cole but we had so much fun 2 years prior that we decided to go again. Mommy of course got us VIP tickets and I think Daddy thought that was a bit much, until he saw how perfect our tickets were. We were so close to the action, mommy actually got a bit nervous when the elephants were running around with only a tiny barricade to separate us. Cole your favorite thing was the motorcycles in the big ball and Carly you were just amazed at everything. You both had the best time and it just melted mommy's heart to see you guys so happy. We will be back next September!

Oh Carly...

I am amazed at how blonde you are. You have the most beautiful blue eyes.
You are getting so big. I can always tell, by how big you look in your car seat.
Mommy is starting to have a slight addition to shoes for you. You prefer to wear your dirty/ugly crocs but I just love buying you shoes.

My sweet Carly, I just love you so much. You are almost 22 months old and you are changing by the minute. Your vocabulary is unreal and you are SO tall. I was just thinking how I had a bit of name remorse with your name with you were first born. You see I loved the named Harper and your daddy loved Carly. I look at you now and could not even imagine you being named anything but Carly Anna. You are the funnest baby and you keep daddy, your bother and mommy constantly laughing. You also keep mommy constantly busy. I love your kisses and you give the best hugs EVER. Mommy is so thankful for you Carly Anna.

Pismo Beach August 30 - September 3 2012

This place is our "happy place"!
This is what we do all day, everyday. Just chill and let the kids play and ride their scooters.
A little piece of heaven on earth!

Carly fits right in at the beach.

 Signs of the further!
A attempt at a family picture.
Cole was so sad it was our last night, he was bawling in this picture.
 Beautiful girl.
 Look how sad Cole is.
We once again headed for Pismo over Labor Day weekend. It was a shorter trip for us but we had not been since March and it was calling me back. This was Carly's 5 time, so it shows how much we love it. I just find such peace when we are there. The kids are always wonderful and life just slows down. The kids had a BLAST and poor Cole always has a breakdown when it is time to go home. Secretly I do too but I certainly can not let my 4 year old witness his mom crying and kicking that I want to stay 1 more day. This was by far the easiest trip we have had with Carly there. She played all day, napped well and slept like a angel. Cole must of done 50 laps a day on his scooter and amazed everyone at the hotel with his swimming abilities. He made a great friend and they enjoyed eachothers company during the weekend. If I could I would go back every 8 weeks but until that can happen, I will settle for going back in November.
