Ahhhh Tahoe!

This past weekend we went up to our time share in Tahoe for the second time this month. We invited Rich, Emi and Regan up for some much needed relaxation (if that is what you call it with kiddos in tow). It is such a blessing that we live so close to one of the most beautiful places on Earth and that we can now share Tahoe with Cole and Charly! Every time we see the Lake, Emerald Bay, Camp Richardson and all the beauty that Tahoe holds it feels like you are seeing it for the first time all over again. It's beauty and wonder is just amazing! It was the perfect weekend and the fall weather was spectacular. It is a place I will always hold dear to my heart and I hope my babies will grow up to have a special place in their heart for Tahoe as well. It is a place I grew up going to, the place I rang my 21st birthday in at, the place JD got down on one knee and asked me to marry him, a place JD and I have had a lot of CRAZY nights with our friends and now a place to take our kiddos too! What a glorious place it is!

Fall Festival

Another fun Fall activity! Cole's preschool had a Fall Festival for the kiddos. The kids got to play games, get their face painted, decorate pumpkins and of course eat tons of cookies (4 for Cole and 1 for Charly) and candy. The best part of the Festival for Cole was when Daddy walked thru the preschool doors. You see daddy had not been to Cole's preschool yet and the joy and excitement in that kids eyes when he saw his daddy was something I will never forget. He let all the kids and teachers know that his daddy was there and blew JD the biggest kiss EVER. As always, Cole you looked so handsome and your Fedora hat was a hit. You are already such the trend setter. Charly, mommy is a sucker for dressing you up. You had a big bow in your hair that day and you looked beautiful. I love you two so much.

1st Girlfriend!

Oh, my handsome Cole! You have your first girlfriend all at the age of 3! Bella is her name and she is in your preschool. You have become fast friends and love to play together. I can only imagine what the future holds for you in regards to girlfriends. Everyone thinks you are the most handsome boy. Daddy recently cut your mohawk off but no worries, your hair grows fast and it will be back in no time. You always look great and can sport any hairdo! Mommy loves you so much!

Pumpkin Patch

We went to the Pumpkin Patch with some of Cole's friends from Preschool. It was super warm for the middle of October but we had a blast. We saw goats, pigs, horses and chickens. Went in the corn maze and picked out our pumpkins. GMa game along to help out with Charly and it was nice to be able to focus on Cole and hang out with him. I had a ton more pictures but this is all I could upload. Charly had a blast hanging with GMa and both Cole and Charly from early on have LOVED apples. I just hand them whole ones and they go to town on them. Charly will sit there for a hour just chewing away. I guess getting teeth early is a plus!

Mommy needs a drink!

A text to Daddy (he is flying home from 3 days away on business)

So, Cole all the sudden got diarrhea (antibiotics) and went in his shorts. Then he stuck his hand down his pants, I guess to investigate? Which in turn led to poop on his hands, train table, door and toilet seat. Then the gagging set in. So, as we cleaned him up he was gagging, ran to the kitchen and spewed EVERYWHERE! He then proceed to run outside naked screaming for you (pretty sure the neighbors called CPS) all the while I cleaned up puke and held off a 22 pound 10 month old from playing and eating her brothers vomit. Bath time was next and now baby is sleeping, Cole is watching a movie (in a pull up) and I am going to make a stiff drink! Safe travels daddy o! Love you!

Changes....

Many changes are happening in the Pratt house. JD recently left SMUD for another company in Sacramento called Power Engineers. It was 100% the right move for our family. JD is a Project Manager for the company and that involves traveling. It is never more than 3 or 4 days (once or twice a month) but it is taking all of us a little time to adjust. The kids miss JD more than I thought they would when he is gone. Cole especially misses daddy. The perks however is Cole always gets a present from daddy when he gets home. Charly you will too, once you realize what that means :-)! Mommy holds down the fort though and we always can't wait to give dad that big hug when he comes in the door. We sure do love daddy!

We have a climber!

This little girl amazes us everyday. What a climber she is. If Cole does something she is right behind him trying to accomplish what he does. We have learned we can't take our eye off of Charly for a second. Who's telling what she will be eating, playing in, or what couch she has scaled herself to the top of. This little one rules the Pratt house already!

This kid melts me....

My 3 year old handsome boy! He is addicted to sunglasses and is very particular with his outfits, shoes and the way he looks. He is the most athletic 3 year old, yet very sensitive, kind and just a joy of a child. We could not ask for a better son. Cole just started preschool, goes 2 days a week and if he could he would go 5 days a week. Loves his teachers, friends and already has the cutest little girlfriend... Bella. Sometimes when I look at him, I see a 16 year old. Time sure does fly by. Can't believe my handsome boy is 3! He melts me.....

Welcome to our silly life!

Hello,

This is my first time blogging and excited to write down memories for my sweet babies, Cole and Carly (aka Charly Girl) to look back on one day. I had this great idea of doing a journal for both of them as they grew up. Well, Cole is 3 and Charly is 10 months and neither of them have one posting in the beautiful journals I had bought for them. So, hopefully this will be a journal for the both of them.

Life is crazy, fun, exciting and sometimes down right exhausting with my 2 nuggets but I love them more than any words will ever be able to describe. They are my life, my full time job and my every breath. Oh ya, dad is everything to me too. So, welcome to our Life in the Pratt House.
