Not enough credit.

I do not give this man enough credit. He does SO much for us and works harder than anyone I know. We are blessed with the life we live because of him and I am able to stay home and raise these 2 crazy kids we call Cole and Carly. Recently JD (aka Jim at work) became a Vice President for his company and I could not be so proud. I got to attend the award banquet they had for him and it was amazing to see him be acknowledge for all the hard work he does. Honey, if you read this, I am one lucky women to have  you as my hubby and the kids are lucky to have  you as their father. We love you!

Love.

We spend quite a bit of time at my folks house, especially when JD is out of town. This picture melts my heart because it captures the love the four of them have for eachother. Such special relationships they have together. Warms my heart.

The leaves are falling to the ground!

Carly fell in love with Fall this year. She loved to play in the leaves and pointed out ALL the beautiful trees that were changing. I love this age.

Just because I think she is so damn cute!

Just another day in the life of Carly.

Look where I found Carly the other day. Not even kidding.

Cole lost his first tooth.

Cole lost his first tooth. He was so excited that it FINALLY came out. I was too. Loosing teeth freak me out!

Halloween.

So, I am SO far behind on this blog it makes me sad. I am going to just skip some things and try and catch up. After all today is December 6th. Here we are on Halloween. How hilarious is this picture? Just take a look at Cole's costume. See anything interesting?

Me and my boy!

Cole this one is for you so one day you can look back and see us together at this age. I can't believe how blond your hair has gotten. I love you Cole!

First set of Football Pads.

Cole has a obsession with football and in fact if you ask Cole what his favorite sport to play he would say football. I find that funny because he can't actually play the game until next fall when he is 6. I would assume he would say swimming because that is what he does 4 nights a week and swims competitively but nope... football is his answer every time. So you can imagine the excitement in the house when JD brought him home these official football pads. I think he wore them for 3 days straight.

SDSU.

JD got Carly this cheerleading outfit last year. It finally fits.

Friday Night Lights.

We have been taking the kids to Football Games on Friday nights and they love it. Carly is hilarious. She dances sings and dosent sit still for the whole game. This video makes me laugh every time I watch it. Get it girl...

Pretty Carly.

Oh Carly... you are growing up SO fast. You look so old to me in these pictures. You sure are a beauty!

Me.

Carly LOVES to take pictures with my phone and this is one she snapped of me. I am trying to stick to that theme I posted about recently on how kids need to see pictures of their parents.

Reading with Pa Pa.

Carly and my dad have this special relationship. They LOVE each other and Carly would spend every waking minute with him if she could. I think she calls him on a average of 5 times a day. It has been a blessing living around the corner from them. Let's face it, they are really the only reason we still live in Placerville. It is amazing the relationship my kiddos have with them and I think they would be devastated if we moved. When JD is out of town (which is pretty much every week) we usually head on over to my folks house for sleepovers. Carly, loves to read with Pa Pa and can spend hours just talking and looking at the pages with him. Pa Pa loves you Carly.

History repeating itself.

I started gymnastics at a very young age and ended gymnastics in my teens. I lived for it, practiced everyday for hours and competed at a National level. It was not all happy memories though. It was not only physically hard but mentally hard as well. A coach came into my gymnastics life around the age of 11 and was not the nicest man. Things changed from having fun to a very strict and lots of tears type of coaching. I told myself at the age of 15 when I quit the sport that if I had a little girl one day I would never let her do gymnastics. Well, fast forward 15+ years and here we are with Carly doing gymnastics in that very same gym that I spent countless hours practicing and trying to perfect a sport that is not so perfect. I started Carly as a fun thing we could do together in a mommy and me class. Within a few weeks Miss Carly was hanging, jumping, seat dropping, beam walking and showing ability above her little 2 year old body. Her coach who just so happens to be the team coach asked if she could move on up to the 3/4 year old class. A class in which I sit on the sidelines and watch. With a little hesitation I agreed and now I sit and watch my fearless 2 year old out in that big gym with the older kids, keeping right up and loving every minute of her gymnastics time. Call me crazy but I enjoy watching her out there and lets be honest, Carly in a leo is just about the cutest thing EVER. So, if it is history repeating itself and Carly continues to love and move forward with this very tough sport, I pray only great, fun and loving coaches come her way.

Carly Girl.

My favorite little man.

I have never been a fan of pictures of myself and as I look back on this blog that is meant as a journal for the kiddos to have and look back on, there are really no pictures of me or JD. I recently came upon a article about how important it is for us as parents to take pictures of ourselves so our kids can have pictures and memories of us and what we looked like through out their lives. So, I will be overlooking my insecure crazy mind and will try and post photos of not only me but JD as well for Cole and Carly to have.

Pa Pa, Grandma and Cousins.

I just LOVE these two pictures. It is all the cousins on the top with my mom and dad and just the girl cousins with my dad. Kaitlyn is the oldest and just turned 6 and Riley is the youngest at 8 months. My parents could not wait to be Grandparents and I thing it is funny that we all had kiddos just about the same time. Austin, Regan and Carly are all 3 months apart. It is almost like having triplets when we are all together. Organized chaos is what I like to call it :-)! I hope and pray that all these little blessings will stay close through the years.

Any Followers?

Hello everyone that passes by my blog. I would love to see who visits and keeps up with "Life in the Pratt House". If you happen to stop by please become a member. I would love to read all your blogs.

Anna

Cole and Maggie.

I feel like I should post these pictures because we will need all the once we have of these two for their wedding slide show one day :-)! Cole and Maggie are in the same Kindergarten class and they could not be happier. I have heard that they hug a lot and chase each other around on the playground. Since they have met through playgroup they have always gravitated towards each other.  They look like brother and sister to me in these photos.

The many faces of Cole at 5!

I love these pics of Cole. He is growing up and changing right before my eyes. I want to remember this sweet face and what he looked like at 5. His hair has turned so blonde from the summer and people even ask me if I dye his hair... ha!  I have been told lately by a few perfect strangers that I should get him into modeling. Of course I think he is the most handsome little boy ever. Love this face.

Carpool

I sure am glad we got a big car. These are the amazing Kiddos I get to take to and from school on certain days. Brooklind, Avery, Koa, Cole, Carly and Finny. What a cute bunch.

Playgroup.

We have been blessed to be a part of a wonderful playgroup and our neighbor Hilary is to thank. I have met some wonderful women and men and the kids have made some wonderful friendships. The playgroup meets every Friday at different peoples homes and as you can imagine by the picture it gets pretty rowdy and a bit chaotic. We have never held a playgroup and that is my fault due to my OCD and anxiety issues with my home being messy and out of place :-)! Luckily my neighbor has them a lot at her home, so Cole and Carly kind of feel like they are hosting as well. It is a great bunch of kids and it is fun to watch the kids grow up together.

Sweet Carly.

This little lady is getting so big and growing up right in front of my eyes. Carly has began to love baby dolls and taking care of them. In just a few short months Carly will be turning 3. That is crazy to me. I am so blessed to have this little girl in my life.

Cole's first day of Kindergarten. August 14, 2013

Ahhh, my baby  boy started Kindergarten. I think it has been harder for me to let go and to transition to him being away everyday for 6 hours than it has been on Cole. We have chosen a school for him about 20 minutes away from the house and for some reason I feel like he is hours aways during the day. It is the best school in our area and I am happy with our decision, I just wish I was closer to him during the day. I get to work in his classroom every Thursday from 12:00 to 2:00 and that has been very nice for Cole and myself. I am also the Secretary of the PTO, so I have been VERY involved and that is the way I like it :-)! Cole has been liking school and is meeting a lot of new friends. He does get a bit sad in the mornings when I leave. Which makes for a VERY long day for me worrying about him but his teachers, Mrs. Dukes and Mrs. Matyac reassure me that he is fine once I leave. As this new Chapter in life has began, I tell Cole everyday some things to think about for school.
1. Be kind to everyone.
2. Be confident.
3. Love to learn.
4. Have Fun.
