Family Week.

 Kaitlyn, Cole & Kenzie!
Cousin Lisa and Carly.

Last week my family from Colorado and LA came out for a family reunion. My mom's sister Janice, Uncle Don, Lisa and Garrett live in Colorado and my mom's brother Eddie, and Aunt Barbara came in from LA. Also, my cousin Jenny and Scott came with their families. We started the week with a BBQ at my parents and then cousin fun for the WHOLE week. My Aunt Janice, Uncle Don and Garrett had never met any of the kids, so it was so nice to have everyone together. It had been 5 LONG years without seeing them. I have always wished we lived closer and I wish more now then ever before that was the case. Life just gets so busy and the years just fly by. Here is hoping to seeing them more often and keeping family close.

First Soccer Game!

How much cuter can you be Cole? Your shoes are simply amazing and you picked them out!
Best group shot I could get of the kids on the Dragonflies!

Cole had his first soccer game last Saturday and he did great scoring 2 goals. After one of the goals Cole proceed to do the best most perfect cartwheel out of pure excitement of scoring a goal! JD is a coach and does such a wonderful job with this group of 6 and under. Once again, Cole is the youngest on the team but you would never know it by how good he is. Plus, he looks so damn cute in his uniforms!

Carly goes to the dentist!

Miss Carly went to the dentist for the first time. I was told with Cole, that I would not need to take him until he was 3, so taking baby at 20 months was a bit different. All in all she did a great job but of course was nervous and at one point bit the poor dentist so hard, I heard the dentist screech as she was trying to pry her finger out of baby's mouth! Baby already has 2 of her 2 year molars in and the other 2 are pushing their way up. Could explain why baby has been a bit on the whiny side lately...ugg! Baby was given a balloon which made her whole day and of a big sticker that read "NO SUGAR BUGS"!

Kids of summer!

Oh how fun to have the house with the pool! I love that all the kids want to come over to our house and play and to swim in the pool. I want the house in the future, when the kids are teenagers, that all Cole and Carly's friends come to. I don't want them always over at someone else's house. I will do everything in my power to make that happen. I might even have a plan for a water slide already...just kidding... kind of! This is the usual group that comes over about 2 times a week (Cole, Koa, Finn, Carly, Brooklind and Avery)! It will be fun to watch all the kids relationships grow and change through the years. It looks like Carly already has eyes for Finny!

Sacramento Children's Museum!

Cole loves to dress up so he had SO much fun!
Carly was in heaven painting on the walls.

I am always looking for things to do with the kids when we have free days. I am not a mom that can stand to stay at home with the kiddos. I always seem to feel like the walls are caving in and constantly cleaning up the kids messes, can make me CRAZY! I decided to take the kids to the Sacramento Children's Museum on this particular day and we had a great time. There was so much dress up Cole could of just moved in and been happy for the rest of his childhood. Carly, was in heaven painting on the walls and playing in the water features. I think she must of drank have the bubble water but as long as she is busy and happy, I in turn am a happy mommy! We got to play for about 5 hours and as you can see in the last two pictures, I succeeded in tiring them out! It was a great day for all 3 of us and it is a place we will be back too.

Back to Preschool!

Well Cole, you went back to Preschool last week and you could not of been more excited. You now go Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 8:30 to 2:30. Mommy is having a hard time having you gone 3 days a week but you LOVE it and I love that you like school so much. Your best friends are Mason and Finn and you can't wait to see them. Your teachers were so glad to have you back and missed you a lot during summer. I am really glad that you have one more year of Preschool because I am not ready for you to be in kindergarten yet. The fact that you are almost 4 1/2 makes me tear up thinking how fast the years have gone. So, I am praying for a happy, healthy and slow school year for you and of course me as well. Your sister sure misses you when you are gone too.

From Swim to Soccer!

Cole started his first real soccer team last week. As you can see, how he looks is very important to him. He chose his shoes (cleats) and I must say, he is by far the best dressed soccer kid I have seen. The name of his team is the Dragonflies and he technically is too young to be on a team but Cole being the athletic kid that he is was ok to play at 4! He practices two days a week and has his first soccer game this Saturday. GO DRAGONFLIES!

JD happened to have to travel to San Diego for work, so we decided to tag along and go with him. During the days I hung with the kids at the hotel pool and then I took them to Sea World. I was a bit nervouse to take them alone to Sea World but we had a amazing day and the kids were wonderful. We got to hang out with our good friends the Thomas' and JD and I got to remember fun and wild times we had together when we first met in San Diego. We cant wait to go back and this time take daddy to Sea World with us.

Catching up on pictures... once again!

Well, I am once again behind on blogging. Summer has been so fun and busy as you can see from our pictures. I am going to try really hard to keep up! More to come soon.
