Golf day with Dad!

Cole asked me recently "When can daddy and I have a date" so, of course I set up a date and golfing 18 holes was the plan. Cole has always been a natural when it comes to golfing and began swinging a golf club around 18 months old. Of course we think he is the best 4 year old out there but we could be bias. From what JD told me, he had a perfect day with no meltdowns and enjoyed every minute of their 6 hours of golfing. That to me is a super long day for a 4 year old, so I made sure to pack lots of snacks and drinks. I look at these pictures and to me it looks like Cole is at least 7 or 8. He is growing up so fast and he has seemed to do every thing early in his 4 short years. I find him to be kind of a old soul. I have to sit back some times and remind myself that he just turned 4! I love that JD takes Cole golfing and know that this will be a sport that they continue to do through out the years. Plus, I can't stand how cute golf clothes are for Cole and JD, so that is the fun part for me. I mean look at those shoes...too cute.

A few days away from 18 months old!

My oh my, how you have grown Carly girl. You are almost 1 1/2 and you are changing daily. You have started to say a bunch of words and your favorite is Ma Ma. You are hilarious and know what you want. You are tough and SUPER strong. You love to hang from anything. Including the refrigerator and sink in our downstairs bathroom. You make us laugh and your laughter is contagious. You love to wrestle and fight with dad and Cole. You do have a bad habit of biting and pinching but we are working on those. You love to hang with the bigger kids and you keep up quite well. Mommy can't imagine life without  you. I am so glad I have you as my daughter and I look forward to all the fun things we will get to do together in the future. I already think about going to try on wedding dresses. Until then, I am trying to hang onto every milestone you have and cherish every memory we are making. I love you Charly girl.

Life...

Life has been SUPER busy in the Pratt house. Cole has school, swim, gymnastics, T-Ball all week long and swim on the weekends also. His swim meets start in June and he has practice everyday until the end of July. We are so excited to see him race. School ends in a week, which will be a nice break for him. He will return in August and we will add a third day to his schedule. As for gymnastics he has been asked to move up to the all boy's 5 year old class. He is excited to have a boy teacher! T-Ball will end soon and soccer will start again. What a life my 4 year old leads. He has always excelled in sports and we are seeing it with him being the youngest on the swim team. He also learned to ride his bike without training wheels and boy is he hooked now. That is all he wants to do and any free time he has, you can find him riding! As for baby Carly, she goes along with me to all of Cole's activities and wants so bad to be able to participate in all he does. It can be exhausting chasing her around the pool, gymnastics and the T-ball field but she loves to watch brother and claps for him and loves to mingle with all the other kids and parents. She is so friendly and such a ham. Funny little thing she is. So, as the warm weather is upon us, we welcome it with our busy little 4 and 1 year olds.

Dry Diggins Dolphins!

Well, we started Cole in swim lessons the month he turned 2! We have a pool, my parents have a pool, JD's mom lives on the river and at the time we had a boat. Cole was surrounded by water and I wanted him to know how to swim (or at least float) to put my mind at ease a bit. He went 2 days a week for about a year and a half and he took to swimming like a fish. He loved to be under water and his swim coach always commented on him having a Iron Lung! I never thought we would go the swim team route until our good friends saw Cole swimming and urged us to have him try out. We figured he would try out and make the Jr. Dolphins, which is kind of like lessons to get the kids ready for swim team. Well, Cole did so good at try outs, that he is officially a member of the swim team in the 6 and under group. He is the youngest kiddo on the team and will compete in races come June. It is a very busy schedule with swimming pretty much everyday and I am a bit nervous that my 4 year old (just turned) will get burned out but he is so excited and we will take it one practice at a time. I must say the swim shorts they wear are too cute and of course, Cole got two pairs of goggles to match! This kid is such a athlete it blows my mind. Now, I just have Charly to worry about. Swim lessons begin for her in the fall. Good Luck Cole!
